I have shoulder length brown hair with blonde highlights. It is choppy and layered, I love it. But I need more hair styles. I tease my hair and do ponytails. HELP!

DO NOT USE BABY OIL!!! im not sure about Vaseline, but i know for a fact that baby oil will burn ur hair with the sun. plus people that use them makes them look like they have a greazzy head.

I can't stand to have my hair in my face and when I get sick of pony tails, I get lots of cute headbands in all different colors and styles. Some thick ones, some skinny ones, some elastic ones...it changes it up and still keeps my hair back.

hi, i also have really curly hair and difficult to make a hairstyle, there are two options, never have a determined line (not right not left) but always change it like pulling your hair back woith your hand, and then the hair will go in its position, (hard to explain)

second option is to softly pull back the hair and fix it with something (hairband, clip etc) don't pressure it.

i have the same problem... but i straightened my hair couple of times... no damage to my hair.. but after couple of straightening.. my hair started to become wavy .. now i style it the way i want.....hope this helps!
you could put it up in a bun, or tame the curls by hot curling them and put a headband in.
-if you want it thinnened go to the hairdressers and ask

-wash then blow dry it to get it straight


Try putting it into a french plait or a basic plait????

A few things to try:



curl your hair, im assuming u want something u can do fast. So if u shower at night, french braid your hair (two braids) and take it out in the morning before school. Use mousse. And then take a curling iron and curl a few strands. its kinda like cheating :P



another idea is wear a headband. One thats thick and stretchy. wear it and have your hair straightened and back comb the top, but leave a layer of hair to cover the backcomb area. This will give great volume. Its a eva longoria style i found :P Ive gotten many compliments from it at school!!!



Another idea is if you really wanna go out on the curling, try curling all hair, and then flip your head upside down, and hair spray. then flip your head back up! its my secret, cause when u flip your head back up, all the curls that look so perfect and fake will flow nicely together making it look natural! its amazing! (ps, keep bangs straightened)



Another idea, if u got long hair is have a side ways ponytail. and curl the ponytail. and have your bangs out, straight.

(ps, when using conditioner in the shower, brush your hair aswell. The conditioner will hit every strand of your hair. Then rinse out. After you rinse you will def feel the smoothness! I do this, cause I got thick long hair and if I brush it dry, i would have poodle hair!) Plus this will make your hair look super shiny and smooth, you will be amazed! I am not in middle school BUT my friend is so this is what i'm gonna say: You can wear it down and make sure you brush it! That is so important!! It looks horrible when it isn't brushed! well, lots. since you haven't listed your hair type, i'll assume you have the perfect hair and that your possibilities are endless.
Bumpy ponytail: first part your hair down the middle. Then put your hair behind your ears. Grasp it with your hand, and gently bring up to the middle of your head. Secure with elastic. Fasten big bumps with bobby pins (preferably bobby pins the same color of your hair)





Messy Bun: Start by brushing your hair back, leaving you without a part. Take small sections of hair and ';scrunch'; sections up to desired heigth of bun. Secure with an elastic. Toussle with fingers to make more of a messy look. Finish off with a ribbon to add a fashionable touch.

okay i have curly hair just like yours so all you do is this:

1. put your hair down (or get it a little wet, so you can work with it)

2. take your bangs and braid them

3. bobby pin it a couple times in the back makimg it look sorta like a half circle

4. take you extra hair and put a side bun on the side your braid is

this was really easy to do and you can also add a headband to hold your fringe back which looks cute.

all i did was put my hair in a low side ponytail and you can use straightners (like i did, if ur straigtners can curl hair), or a curling iron, and just take medium size bits of hair and curl them!! i suggest that you dont curl your hair and then put it in the ponytail, as this will take longer and then ponytail will be really big...

I have decided that after having long, med. and short hair, that short to medium length hair is best on someone with thin hair. What popular hair styles did they have during 1970-1999?

The 80's had big puffy hair, which I really liked. 70's iconic hairstyle was Farrah Fawcett's hair. The 90's had The Queen's french roll. There were the braids that came into fashion after Bo Derek made 10. (Black women had been wearing them but then they became broad-stream.) Men use to have stuff carved into their hair. The bed head has been here a while, I think that look sucks. Off the top of my head that's what I remember. Hope it helps.

Ok, let's get started.



Hairstyles:

Dark, Long Hair: If you have dark hair, you have no excuse for it to be cut short. If it's long, brush it until it's silky, and make a side cut. If you're really sporty, create a side cut and then a pony tail with a scrunchy.



Dark, Short hair: You shouldn't have short hair.. But we'll fix that. Make a cut down the middle, and, if you're not afraid of critics, get it pushed back with a hairband (works best if you have assorted freckles). Otherwise, make a cut down the middle, and get a really cute clip and put it in to distract from the fact people can see your shoulders.



Dark, Medium hair: The night before, take a shower. Take your brush and put gobs of conditioner in it. While in the shower, brush your hair until you feel absolutely no nots. Wash out the conditioner. Steamy water (though it might burn your scalp) works best for this. braid your hair in really tiny braids, and clip it back in a ponytail before you go to bed. In the morning, take them out and brush like crazy. Your hair is now wavy. Make a cut down the middle, pushing half the hair behind your ear. To keep it there, use a butterfly or dragonfly clip.



Long, Light hair: Ponytail, ponytail, PONYTAIL! Dye a lock, about an inch or two in diameter, a darker shade of your own hair color. Push all your hair back in a ponytail, and keep it there with a scrunchie that matches your outfit. The only hair that should be left out, is that one strand. If you like to wair it down, ask your stylist to make your hair wave out at the end. Keep your hair over your ears (light haired people tend to have red ears) or, if this is uncomfortable, push one ride back. A center cut usually works best.



Short, light hair: Ok, I'm sorry but I absolutely short, light hair. If you have to have it, make sure, at the least, it doesn't curl inwards at the end. Short light hair is bland and annoying. I actually reccomend dying it a nice auburn or natural brown until it grows out. But let's add some pizzazz. This may sound really prissy and Bratz-girl like, but it's not. Take a hair brush, and put gobs of conditioner on it. Turn on the shower, and make sur eit's really hot. Brush and brush, even after all the knots are out, until literally every strand is flat. this might take more than an hour. Don't wash it out yet. Duck your head down so your head is looking at the bottom of the tub, and take a comb, and brush that too. This'll brush the front and back of your hair. Wash it out with steaming, almost burning if not burning, water. Your hair should be very glossy now. You might find this really silly, but get a bottle of hairspray. Open it, and put in silver sparkles. They should be about 1/16 of the bottle's total amount of contents. Shake it and spray your hair. Hairspray with a nice peach scent works perfectly. No one will be able to see the sparkles, only that your hair shining. This is really, really, good. So there you go.



Light, Medium hair: Wear it flat down, as plan as you can manage.. NOT! If you're feeling up to it, have someone make two braids for you on either side of your head, RIGHT next to your face. make sure they're the same size. Tie them. While holding these braids, have your friend brush your hair until it's so flat, you can almost see the tip of your ears through it. Then have them pull the braids back, and tie them together like a pony tail, or a tiara. This is really risky, but also fashionable if you can pull it off.



Now, on to clothing.



Long, dark hair in a ponytail: A sport's hoodie works great. Wearing a graphic tee underneath works great. Don't actually put the hood on though, and always keep your hands in the pockets of the hoodie. Wearing light, worn out jeans, frayed at the ends, is really awesome with the hoodie. Sneakers, Vans, or tennis shoes will finish this ensemble.



Long dark hair hanging down: A blouse, red especially, and dark blue skinny jeans with black heels that point at the toes are fashionable, and reccomended. This is actually a look being sported by s, and has been sported by s for over 5 years now.



Short medium hair: get a black t-shirt, and something see-through green, red, blue, or even white, but only white if it has a rose design on it. Put on the black t-shirt (cannot be loose, must be tight!) and the see-through shirt over it (the see-through shirt must be loose, but without sleeves!). Wear any kind of jeans, preferably dark jeans, with this. Heels or pumps work great with this.



Long, Light hair in a ponytail: Same thing as dark hair in a ponytail, except zip off the hoodie half-way through the day to reveal a sport's shirt. The pants should also be sport's shorts.



Long, Light hair hanging down: Beautiful blouse and skirt. Simple as that. If you're uncomfortable in skirts, find the shortest miniskirt you can, and make it frayed at the bottom (short like barely covering your underwear). Put on jeans, an

OK so this is what I have seen and heard. Everybody at my school has side bangs. everybody! But that fad is fadding towards the end. Also a bit of layering in the front had been and always will be in. Don't get to much layering in the front otherwise it will totally poofy. Take this from somebody who knows. They know what looks best on you and they know how to do it. This brings me to my next thing. You should be a trend setter not a trend follower. buy those soft curlers and sleep in them. it is soooo easy and you save so much time in the morning. you just take them out and only brush the top of your hair otherwise you brush right through the curls. then use hairspray, not mousse. ive found that a great brand of hairspray is matrix hairspray. and for looser, messier curls, you separate each curl in two. it is a more casual, less shirley temple look.


then for waves, sleep in braids. (the number depending on how wavy you want your hair. i would probably recommend about eight or so) then you just take them out in the morning and just brush the top of your hair. you can use hairspray, but i usually dont need it, but then again, my hair holds waves really well......





and as for just regular hairstyles, i would try sidebangs or whispy bangs instead of thick ones......dont know about the cut i might have to see the shape of your face, sry....


you can also do buns, because they are pretty in, or low pigtails, but you might be a little old for them, but my sister in college looks cute in them so i dont know.....


as for hairbands, very cute and in!!! definitely!!!


u could wear your hair half-up, leaving your bangs down.....

well yeah they are kinda like braids that look like dreadlocks. on average they stay in for two and a half months, but if you keep them healthy like me, you can keep them three and a half tops. you can use your real hair or add extensions. they are usually curled at the bottom. i just love them. but they are hard to do without a real stylist. (the people who do mine are usually african) and if you already know what they are, i just wasted my time. ;)Afro hair styles suggest please helpfull advice?

I have naturally straight, semi - wavy hair. In order to get the beach waves, i wash like normal, and completely dry my hair and don't put anything in it. Then, i take garnier fructis curl construct(its a foamy moose) and i put some in my hand and scrunch dry hair. This creates waves verses the little, wet scrunched curls and it only takes about 30 seconds...i get compliments on it all the time ;-)What r good different hair styles. n how do you get beach curls?
do you mean like the waves you get in your hair when you get out of the water? That is caused by salt. mix water and salt in a bottle and spray it in your hair.

I do low bunches with the top of my hair backcombed to add spikeyness and volume, the hair in the bunches doesnt need backcombing cause they layers made it stick out nicley already =).



Or..



I'll just backcomb the top of my hair again, leaving my fringe and bangs out, and put my hair into a low side ponytail.



Or...



More backcombing!! and spray your hair with spray to make it stay - I back comb my hair so it makes it look spikey cause thats how i like it, even though I have longish hair.

You could also use hair styling wax to enhance your layers and then just leave it down if you dont like the idea of backcombing/teasing your hair.xWhats some really good hair styles for layerd hair?

depends on your hair type. I'm going into 7th grade n i noticed last year short hair was cool. hair pony-tails, or half ponytails (just the front of your hair pulled bac) are really popular.

Side bangs or straight across bangs. Oh, also straighten your hair or curl it. If you go with side bangs, use a cute clip to keep the bangs to the side and part your hair to the side. Hope I helped!

well it all depends on your ethnicity (race) and your hair type.





Straight is always cool...use a flat iron and straightening serum such as paul mitchel's straight works or garnier fructise's straightening serum





For natural curls, put moose (i reccomend Loreal Studio moose) or a scrunching gel (I reccomend Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Scrunching gel). Scrunch your hair and let your hair air dry or use a blow dryer with a diffuser on it to minimize frizz and flyaways





Ponytails are great classics that are always in style as long as they are done right. Ponytail your hair.Then if there are any frizzies or flyaways on the side, simply give them a quick spritz or hair spray to keep them down.

well i say,





you wear it straight. and get some layers. if your hair is right above your shoulders get layers up to your mid ear.





if your hair is about 3 inches part your shoulders, then get layers to an inch or so above your shoulders.





if your hair is to your chest, get layers to your shoulders.








also get sideswept bangs, i have them and love them. they really bring attention to your eyes.

Towel dry, put mousse through with fingers, and scrunch. Let it air dry. It's pretty and a lot of girls can pull it off. Good luck!
