Do you have to have layered hair to do emo/scene teased hair styles?

like I know how to tease my hair and do all that but I never tried it and I don't have layered hair so I'm wondering if you HAVE to have layered hair for it to work??Do you have to have layered hair to do emo/scene teased hair styles?
if you want to tease it and make it stand, layers are most likely a yes. You can try it but, I'm pretty positive you need the layers.Do you have to have layered hair to do emo/scene teased hair styles?
You don't have to have layered hair to pull off the scene look. After washing your hair, blow dry it and straighten only the lengths. Use a decent amount of hairspray and backcomb/tease about 5-10cm from the roots. Do it in sections and you should be good to go.
