Fun hair styles for dance competition?

I'm looking for fun hairstyles for competition season for my hip-hop dance team.


The team is of a majority girls, but there are a few guys, so hair styles for them would e greatly appreciated too. For girls: anything from up do's, to just tips about getting ';big sexy hair';. anything that'll hold for a solid 12 hours. Thank you!!Fun hair styles for dance competition?
For my dance team, we do 'competition hair'. So basically, you make a side part and slick down the front pieces of your hair to behind your ears and pin it, then tease the back so it's really big. Fun hair styles for dance competition?
I've seen a lot of french braids, and I think that that would be cool to do. Maybe two, like pigtails. Something that I also think is cute is to part your hair to the side, like your going to do french braided pigtails. But only French braid the thicker half of the hair, and only part of the way back. Then pull the rest up into a high ponytail. You could loosely spiral-curl the ponytail to give it a different look. My class did this for a hip-hop dance last year. It was really cute!
well i've been in competitions before for hip hop...and basically the hair styles ranges from cornrows, latices, and what not pulled into a ponytail with curls. but the thing is with those types of hair styles to keep them maintained is to keep them tied down with a bandana or du-rag. but most definitely for a hip hop essence i'd go for the cornrows.
Try a high ponytail and use a curling iron to curl the ponytail section. Use hairspray to keep the curls curled so they don't frizz out
